Our Legal Advice Clinic is a valuable resource for young people aged 16 to 25, offering free legal advice from an experienced and trusted solicitor.
The clinic was established by our Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Mariam Bafo, in collaboration with our legal partner, Coram. It is led by Coram's Senior Outreach Solicitor, Smita Bajaria.
This clinic provides an opportunity for young people who have lived in the UK since childhood and are seeking to regularise their immigration status, as well as for young adults with Limited Leave to Remain who are applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain. Participants can engage in one-on-one sessions to address any questions they may have about applying for or renewing their immigration status.
You can view our video 'Lizzie, Lanre, and Mary’s Story' to learn more about the limited leave to remain eligibility criteria for children and over 18s; plus the 2022 rule change, which halved the time those with limited leave to remain must wait before being eligible for permanent settlement in the UK.
You can register by clicking the booking form below. We announce session dates on a monthly basis through our newsletter and social media accounts (@webelong19). Our goal is to hold sessions once a week, and the specific dates will be released each month based on availability. You can also refer directly to the booking form for the updated schedule.
Once you register, we will evaluate your case and you will receive a confirmation email, typically sent on Fridays. Please wait for this email before attending. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@webelong.org.uk.
