Lizzie is a psychology graduate from the University of Bedfordshire who has had a unique and inspiring journey from We Belong campaigner to staff member.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, she moved to the UK at the age of 11. She was blocked from accessing University at 18 due to her immigration status, but her campaigning efforts and continued determination led her to complete her degree with honours. Now, Lizzie's enjoying her full-circle moment by helping other young people thrive and become the leaders they want to be!
A passionate advocate for education and personal growth, Lizzie gained invaluable experience through the Let Us Learn campaign, where she met countless inspiring individuals. Her ability to overcome adversity and achieve her goals is a testament to her character and drive.
When she’s not immersed in her work, Lizzie enjoys indulging in her love for Korean dramas and is always happy to share her favourite picks. Her inspiring quote, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure," from the movie Akeelah and the Bee, continues to motivate her.
Lizzie's ability to connect with people and her inspiring story makes her a valuable asset to our team. She's also proof of what can happen when young people come together to advocate for change!
