After completing her MA in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response, Tania joined the We Belong team as it expands into the North West. Over the last three years, she has volunteered in both campaigning and outreach work with refugees and asylum seekers in Manchester. She also has experience of working with children and young people, particularly in teaching roles. Throughout her studies, she has focused on issues of migration, identity, belonging and representation, and she is committed to centering the voices of young migrants as they advocate for change in the British immigration system. In her role as Community Engagement Officer, Tania will develop and foster ongoing relationships with community groups and grassroots organisations, in order to identify, engage and support young migrants, and aid in We Belong’s outreach across the UK. This community-centered approach will respond to the needs of young migrants themselves, providing a sustainable and supportive space for these young people to prosper and work towards obtaining migrant justice.
